The first came about as a bit of a rivalry with a friend of mine. He had, just previous to my machinations, debunked a very solid and mind you, practical thesis in a particular territory we were both sharing at the time.
I had been very proud of that particular one, and considered it, of course, a challenge. Now, in this field, scholarly, as it were, he easily had me bested. He had quite the range of intellectuals who eagerly pursued his words and way, and admittedly even, quite a cunning intellect that by nature outstripped my own. We simply worked in different ways.
However, the challenge issued, I could hardly let things stand as they were. I had to attack it from a very different angle.
You see, my rival had a weakness that few knew about, a favored ground dedicated to the sort of order, stricture and cleanliness he considered holy. Something of an extreme OCD case...
I snuck in and convinced a few of his followers with a quick bit of conversation to do a prank.
By the end of the night, the entire great library of the country had been rearranged in reverse alphabetical order, and THEN further arranged in rainbow scheme.

The expressions were just priceless.
