Appearance: She’s small, only about 5’2, but very curvy. Her skin is fair and she has very pale blond hair, which she lets fall loose to her upper back, or braids. She wears glasses, and has grey eyes. In general, everything about her seems warm and soft, and she always seems to have an absent smile on her face.

Characteristics: Young, distant, daydreamer, unfocused.

Likes: Books, warmth, quiet.

Dislikes: Noise, cold.
Shrine: A chest made out of warm, dark wood.

In the ancient days of the First Age a behemoth known as the Thunder Wolf roamed the Far North of Creation. Such was the terrible beast's hunger that it would eat man and beast alike. The only warning anyone received of the Thunder Wolf's approach was the Howling Word of the great animal fathers of the North, which would resound for miles.

Between conflicts in the Thousand Struggles Era, a great Exalted general named Shu-Lin decided it was time to put the beast he had heard so much about in its place. Obtaining permission from his king, Shu-Lin embarked on a great hunt that lasted for many months, as the Thunder Wolf was clever and could not be found unless he himself was on the hunt. Finally, Shu-Lin appealed to the animal fathers to learn how they knew when the Thunder Wolf was going to prowl, and once armed with this knowledge, was able to catch the great beast as it left its mountain home. After so much effort, clever Shu-Lin wanted more than anything to capture and tame the Thunder Wolf, but the two struggled for days, painting the snow of the mountainside crimson until the life left both of them.

As the legend goes, the general's widow was a great sorceress, and on learning of her husband's fall, she created the spell Thunder Wolf's Howl to honor the general and the wolf's struggle. To this day, many sorcerers learn the spell, uttering the same word that once was used to warn of the Thunder Wolf's approach, causing a terrible sonic blast to defeat masses of enemies without killing them.

[His expression has been growing distant since he started telling the story, and his stance straightens unconsciously, forehead glittering slightly.]

...What has been obscured over the centuries, is that General Shu-Lin was a powerful Lunar Exalt, who had been loved dearly by his Solar wife. It was an inconvenient aspect to an otherwise touching story, and the Dragon-Blooded could not bear to associate those they consider Anathema with the legend, or the useful spell.
