Albinia Science, Responsibility, Ice | ❧ Played by Sair |
 |
Appearance: As a human, she’s a grown woman, with pale skin, long light colored hair, and light blue eyes. She will never smile and either has a distant look or disapproving look most of the time.
Characteristics: Stern, serious, cold, reserved, scientific, socially awkward, rational.
Likes: Order, rules, responsibility, self-control, logic, science (Of all kinds, except mad scientist science.), scientific method, ice, frozen goods, ice sculptures (the one form of art she really enjoys), her sister, and she shares a joy of balance, dichotomy, and most importantly, popcorn with her sister.
Dislikes: Chaos, rule breaking, lack of control, irresponsibility, idiocy, mad scientist art, spicy food, hot drinks, most other forms of art, most things Kalidas likes, people who do not like popcorn, her sister, people messing with her sister. |
 |
Shrine: An ice sculpture of a circular archway. The ice never melts and it’s cold to the touch, though people won’t ever get stuck to it. (Unless they lick it, in which case, they’ll be stuck there for an hour at least.)
Ritual: To summon her, the person needs to put their hand on the statue and list off some science type fact. (It does not necessarily need to be correct, just be something sciencey.)

Re: Day 17, early afternoon?
H-he isn't--! Ah, what did you do?
Re: Day 17, early afternoon?
Re: Day 17, early afternoon?
[aaaaaaaaaah]
[MENTAL PANIC]
(She deaged him?! Where is he now?! He wouldn't wander off into the greenery, would he?! No, wait, we have doors!! Are they childproof?! Gah, what am I saying, of course they aren't!! B-but he has his teammates! AND HYDRA!! Scowl wouldn't let a kid get hurt, especially one living with him!! THIS IS FINE, THIS IS TOTALLY FINE......h-he's going to be so pissed when he turns back to normal.)
Re: Day 17, early afternoon?
I. . .I see!! It's only temporary, right?
Re: Day 17, early afternoon?
I wouldn't have deaged him without there being people nearby. It's a punishment, not a death warrant.
And of course it is. Punishments are only meant to be for a set duration so they know exactly what it's like to go through it and thus will be less likely to repeat the behavior to get the punishment. I'll turn him back in a few days.
Re: Day 17, early afternoon?
O-of course. No, that makes sense, if this were a normal world. I don't think he'll repeat his actions, but it won't make him warm up to you. I know that isn't necessary, but. . .he's been through a lot. All of them have. This isn't the way to win over your followers, those who have been tricked and used and abused by gods before. It just leaves a bitter taste in their mouth.
No disrespect to you, of course. Like I said, I understand where you're coming from.
Re: Day 17, early afternoon?
[She snaps her mouth shut and there is a moment where her face is just a frozen, cold wall.]
[Another sigh.]
Dealing with him left a bitter taste in my mouth. His trauma and age bought him a lot. That's why I will not turn him away entirely or did something more crippling.
Re: Day 17, early afternoon?
Mm, I see. You're. . .awfully human, for a god.
Re: Day 17, early afternoon?
...
Re: Day 17, early afternoon?
I don't mean that in a negative way, mind you. You're very prideful, but well meaning.
Re: Day 17, early afternoon?
[Leans against the wall and there's a bit less of an iciness to her expression.]
I am responsibility. How can I be responsible without being well meaning?
Re: Day 17, early afternoon?
You're not one to be walked over, and you should never lose that disposition. . .but children, mortals, whatever we're referred to as, we're not your people. You'll have to earn their respect, and trust, just as they have to earn yours.
Re: Day 17, early afternoon?
Ashikawa is a child, literally. Children are meant to be treated differently, because they are still learning. And it is the responsibility of those in charge to teach children and sometimes that requires punishment.
I am not unfair. I gave him warning. Plenty of warning, but he wouldn't listen. If anything, he thought I'd do worst and yet he still did as he pleased. That is not safe behavior. And if he would do that to gods, he could do the same with humans, who may do far worse things than I would.
And for everyone else, I have been more than fair and reasonable in what they ask of me.
Re: Day 17, early afternoon?
[nods, mostly at last statement]
Mm, I won't debate that, though I will ask you to please at least consider alternative methods of persuasion in the future, especially for those of the more bias nature. In any case, thank you for going with something so mild. We're not unfamiliar with the effect.

Re: Day 17, early afternoon?
...and I do not have a 'sense of entitlement.' I have a sense of 'I will not give someone who is rude information for absolutely free.' He rather liked to spin it that way.

Re: Day 17, early afternoon?
It wasn't on my list, but thanks.
That certainly clears up my concern, though I didn't come here solely to question your practices.
Re: Day 17, early afternoon?
You had wanted something?
Re: Day 17, early afternoon?
Yes, but something else as well. Another reason I brought the subject up was--well, I considered volunteering.

Re: Day 17, early afternoon?
Re: Day 17, early afternoon?
Plus, maybe if you had a volunteer, others might note that you aren't into this for nefarious purposes.
