Appearance: Medium height and light of build, Tare is a very graceful being – though whether one sees hir as a god or a goddess is entirely to their own decisions. Appearing in the late teens to early twenties, xe is highly androgynous with hir basic form a slender youth with short, dark brown hair and dark eyes. Xe wears a light colored, loose sweater with a wide neck which leaves one of hir shoulders bare, and comfortable capri style pants in an light tan. Hir shoes are comfortable sandals with a slight heel, and xe wears woven hemp for bracelets and a necklace with a small, gold charm.

Tare has a tendency to only appear as a breath of wind or movement of air when xe doesn't feel like showing hir face or when xe dislikes someone. Xe will never not appear at all when called though.

Characteristics: Elusive, gentle, capricious, emotional, voyeuristic, polyamorous, easily miffed, passive aggressive, ingenuous.

Likes: Watching people, positive emotional connections and responses, happy endings, fresh scents, freedom of movement.

Dislikes: Prostitution, marriages of convenience, emotionless or cold people, unclean things, stagnant air, entrapments.

Shrine: A wisteria vine grows in the corner of the room with a delicate wind chime suspended within it. A simple metal hoop with four twisted glass bars hanging in the center of it.

Ritual: Blow softly across the chimes to call hir. Xe may or may not appear physically, but if xe is present and listening, the chimes will continue to ring softly as though caught in a gentle breeze.

[The winds rise around them warm in the shrine area, and xe steps backwards towards hir shrine. For a brief moment the world is lost in wind and flowers, and when the winds still again, they are standing in a large field of bright red and blue wild flowers. A warm, gentle breeze lifts occasional petals into the air, swirling them high into the lightly cloud dotted sky. In the near distance, there's a large wisteria arbor which seems to grow to unusual proportions and scents the air with a fresh sweetness. Beneath the arbor, tucked up near the twisting trunk, is a comfortable couch with spills of pillows and blankets around it.

The shiki takes flight in the new area, gliding high in the open sky.]

Come. We will not be disturbed here.

[This is honestly beautiful?! Taking it all in, he wonders if it's... real... ]

[tugs his hand a little and starts walking towards the wisteria and the couch there]

[Following along, slightly wide-eyed.]

It's beautiful. Do the other gods have domains like this?

Not like this, but they have their own spaces. Each one unique to them.

[That made sense, and he nods.

The wisteria tree reminds him of the sakura tree, which is a sobering thought. His expression turns more pensive as they approach.]

[The scent of it is quite a bit different though at least filling the air with a sunwarmed scent of sweet flowers. Tare leads them to the couch and settles down on it, comfortable in amongst the pillows and throws. Xe pats the cushion beside hir.]

[Subaru sits, not quite relaxing. But the scent helps, especially if he closes his eyes.]

I wonder if there were places like this back in my world.

I would hope so. What was it like?

...It was alive. A place full of people. There were barely any parts of the world people hadn't touched.

[Sounding calm, but there's an off note in his tone. "Was"...]

[curious, but "was" is not completely indicative all things considered, so xe will let him come around to it if he wants]

Maybe it's why the battle happened.

There was a fight in my world - for the fate of it. To protect the people who lived there in the present, or to grant the world's wish and... cleanse it.

[my that sounds a little familiar]

... You were one of the ones fighting in it?

[doesn't it?]

Yes.

... Did you see the end of the fighting?

I was at the final battle, but I didn't see how it... ended. The last thing I remember was the earthquakes, and Tokyo starting to fall.

[he touches his chest, a phantom pain there]

When I woke I thought Thusia might have been my world, if a lot of time had passed.

... I'm sorry that couldn't be the case.

Don't worry.

There was nothing left I wanted from that world.

[reaches over to slide a hand in his again]

Because your friend wasn't there?

[Subaru's hands have the faint trace of a spell on them that wasn't there the first time he visited, if noticed.]

I had no reason to protect anything. My part in the fights was over.

[runs hir fingers over the spell marks]

What was your part in the fights?

[flinches when xe touches them]

I was supposed to fight to save humanity.

[stills hir hands and settles for holding his fingers with a gentle squeeze]

And it was over?

[Looking towards the ground.]

That was what I was supposed to do... but I stopped caring about Earth's fate a long time ago.

[Though, even that isn't exactly correct. There were other things he had devoted himself to.]
