Appearance: It is impossible to get a clear picture of Ygin all at once. It has feminine hands, but a clenched, lantern jaw. You might see the line of a cloak, hunched and stooped, but you might also see flowing, black hair. It has a long, lizagon-like tail, and the presence of it is most often the only consistent sign it is openly in the area.
The voice is a low, genderless whisper, directly in the person’s right or left ear, inaudible to anyone else. You might sometimes hear feathers, or the rasp of scales, gurgles or scrapes. The smell is dry and papery, or wet and fetid.
Whenever Ygin is around, people will feel a tight feeling between their shoulder blades, as if something is watching them.
Characteristics: Childlike, insatiably curious, sadistic, inquisitive, ponderous, demanding, fickle, irrational and sometimes outright gibberingly insane.

Likes: Courage, terror, chimeras, were creatures, shape shifters who lose control by nature, self-awareness, emotional vulnerability, hallucination-prone people, scrying or dreaming powers, phobias, playing mind games

Dislikes: Bravado, rhetoric, scholarly learning, order, science, machinery, unflappable people, people without curiosity, obtuse people, bright lights, restrictions.

Shrine: The shrine presents itself as a dark opening in the wall. It’s large enough to walk into, but you cannot see, hear or sense anything inside.

Ritual: Getting its attention can be as simple as putting a hand in the opening, but walking entirely in is guaranteed to get an answer and quite a bit more favor.

[The darkness slides up Aerta and Yayoi's arms, puddling around their feet and spreading to where the other were (and their stalkers) stand.]

[Kind of unsettled by that, even knowing Ygin already, but dealing with this is more important than thinking about how creepy It is.]

Leo was attacked. We can't find his talisman now, and . . . a-and he can't remember anything.

[He's taken Aerta's hand, but then he's pretty frozen in fear as the black mass starts sliding up her arm, grip tightening.]

I..Is this Ygin?

[While Leo's eyes are fixed on the shadows engulfing Aerta, his own view starts changing as he begins to sink, his own form blending into the shadows.]

[That haze of tiredness is very quickly kicked out of him, and he stands a little straighter, his eyes wide and worried for Leo but... now he's starting to worry for Jane and her crew]

[Oh my god! his legs are vanishing. his legs are vanishing into it- one hand smacks down onto the the gooey surface of the sclera. His voice raises another octave in fear.]

[Sucks in a startled, gasping breath, going rigid and shutting her eyes]

[um. ok let's face it people being eaten by shadow is not totally unexpected]

Let us worry about what they're allowed to do or not, okay? That's what priests are for, right? We just need help for Leo.

[A heavy tendril glurps up from the widening abyss and winds around Kida. Almost absently, the tip of it pats the eldest were on the head..

Instead, the darkness surges up, rolling and boiling on itself, the eyes sliding together like balls of mercury into one giant, runny orb that slouches over Leo, looking at him carefully.]

[Cracks an eye open to glance at Leo, grimacing at the sight of Ygin there]
