Albinia Science, Responsibility, Ice | ❧ Played by Sair |
 |
Appearance: As a human, she’s a grown woman, with pale skin, long light colored hair, and light blue eyes. She will never smile and either has a distant look or disapproving look most of the time.
Characteristics: Stern, serious, cold, reserved, scientific, socially awkward, rational.
Likes: Order, rules, responsibility, self-control, logic, science (Of all kinds, except mad scientist science.), scientific method, ice, frozen goods, ice sculptures (the one form of art she really enjoys), her sister, and she shares a joy of balance, dichotomy, and most importantly, popcorn with her sister.
Dislikes: Chaos, rule breaking, lack of control, irresponsibility, idiocy, mad scientist art, spicy food, hot drinks, most other forms of art, most things Kalidas likes, people who do not like popcorn, her sister, people messing with her sister. |
 |
Shrine: An ice sculpture of a circular archway. The ice never melts and it’s cold to the touch, though people won’t ever get stuck to it. (Unless they lick it, in which case, they’ll be stuck there for an hour at least.)
Ritual: To summon her, the person needs to put their hand on the statue and list off some science type fact. (It does not necessarily need to be correct, just be something sciencey.)

4 Units |
Weird medications (consult for first purchase) |
5 Units |
Good quality medications (no side effects) |
NOTE: For those who are approved to be assistants or guinea pigs, you basically get a unit pay. Assistants (teacher): 3 Units per class. Assistants (experiments): 7 Units per experiment session Guinea Pigs: 10 Units per time you’re being tested on
NOTE 2: If there’s a high chance your character will be dickish to her/does terribly irresponsible things that hurt other people on a regular basis/is one of those guys who murders people, it would probably be better to actually thread that out because Albinia is finicky. |

[...you came for ice cream?]
Re: [Day 19, early early morning]
I'm not supposed to go out past the hallway like this, so I can't bring any hearts or anything, but... I could do an experiment, or we could talk about science stuff. Or I guess i could come up with something for balance.
Re: [Day 19, early early morning]
[Well, will kneel down to be more level.]
What sort of science do you know? You are very young.
Re: [Day 19, early early morning]
The way light refracts going into different materials like glass or water, and the rules of electromagnetic force, and Earth's solar system, and how gravity works, and how the inside of the Earth is, and the anatomy of fish and lizards, and this experiment with rats that sounds like it didn't have a very good sample selection process, and some other stuff.
Re: [Day 19, early early morning]
Re: [Day 19, early early morning]
[Another one of those pauses as he thinks through it.]
There's four main parts, and some guy called Maxwell made history when he wrote a book about it, cause before then everyone on Earth thought electricity and magnetism were separate.
[He ticks them off on his fingers as he lists them, and pauses between each to 'remember" correctly.]
First, electric charges attract or repel each other with force inversely proportional to the square of the distance between em. Unlike charges attract, and like ones repel.
Second, magnetic poles attract or repel one another, too, and they always come in pairs. Every north pole's yoked to a south pole.
Third, an electric current in a wire creates a circular magnetic field around the wire, and its direction depends on the current.
And last, a current's induced in a loop of wire when it's moved toward or away from a magnetic field- or if a magnet's moved toward or away from it.

...
[And reaches over and pats his head gently.] It's nothing to be concerned with.
Re: [Day 19, early early morning]
I guess you're not really the history god, though. Should I ask someone else, instead?
Re: [Day 19, early early morning]
You could try Henrietta if you're interested, but she's not the most talkative. Kain usually likes to ask a lot of questions than tell you facts.
Re: [Day 19, early early morning]
...his machine's pretty cool, though.
Re: [Day 19, early early morning]
And his machines can be entertaining to watch.
Re: [Day 19, early early morning]
[Digs in his pocket for a rainbow origami crane.]
But mostly it just falls, so far.
Re: [Day 19, early early morning]
But paper is also rather light, so if he did mean something literal, then you should try where there's wind. Just don't go anywhere dangerous alone.
Re: [Day 19, early early morning]
[I also told Aoi I wouldn't talk to the gods. And may have gone out yesterday, anyway, but. :x]
...I bet I can take it up to the treetops when I'm bigger. I'd have to make sure it didn't fall all the way down if it doesn't fly, though. Do you think vines'd make a good net?
Re: [Day 19, early early morning]
They would. If you used leaves to fill in the gaps, you wouldn't risk losing it through the gaps either.
Re: [Day 19, early early morning]
[Shuffles a little. :|a]
Hey, uh. Did you mean that about the ice cream?
