Albinia

Albinia
Science, Responsibility, Ice

❧ Played by Sair
Appearance: As a human, she’s a grown woman, with pale skin, long light colored hair, and light blue eyes. She will never smile and either has a distant look or disapproving look most of the time.

Characteristics: Stern, serious, cold, reserved, scientific, socially awkward, rational.

Likes: Order, rules, responsibility, self-control, logic, science (Of all kinds, except mad scientist science.), scientific method, ice, frozen goods, ice sculptures (the one form of art she really enjoys), her sister, and she shares a joy of balance, dichotomy, and most importantly, popcorn with her sister.

Dislikes: Chaos, rule breaking, lack of control, irresponsibility, idiocy, mad scientist art, spicy food, hot drinks, most other forms of art, most things Kalidas likes, people who do not like popcorn, her sister, people messing with her sister.
Shrine: An ice sculpture of a circular archway. The ice never melts and it’s cold to the touch, though people won’t ever get stuck to it. (Unless they lick it, in which case, they’ll be stuck there for an hour at least.)

Ritual: To summon her, the person needs to put their hand on the statue and list off some science type fact. (It does not necessarily need to be correct, just be something sciencey.)
❧ Will Take❧ Will Give
  • The heart of any beast
  • The roots of plants

  • Science supplies - Beakers, tweezers, magnifying glass, flashlights, nothing too fancy.
  • Chemicals - Think chemistry set level at this point.
  • Condoms and Chastity Belts.
  • Weird Medications - Not normal pill stuff.
  • Ice

NOTE: For those who are approved to be assistants or guinea pigs, you basically get a unit pay.
Assistants (teacher): 3 Units per class.
Assistants (experiments): 7 Units per experiment session
Guinea Pigs: 10 Units per time you’re being tested on

NOTE 2: If there’s a high chance your character will be dickish to her/does terribly irresponsible things that hurt other people on a regular basis/is one of those guys who murders people, it would probably be better to actually thread that out because Albinia is finicky.

[Doesn't place her hands on your shrine]

Scientific facts, is it. Normal human body temperature should be 37 degrees. My body temperature, however, is currently burning at 2803 degrees, and that is after I was cooled down with magic. It's more than normal humans can survive and more than enough to melt your shrine if I were to touch it.

Err...Rigor mortis begins within two to six hours of death, starting with the eyelids and moving down the face.

[welp. may as well bite the bullet.

he's still nature'd up but whatever. Placing his hand on the statue and- oh right he has to say something sciencey. Uhh-]

[:|a places hand on shrine]

According to Howard Thurston, magicians only have three basic rules they need to follow to preserve the integrity of the profession. Those rules are: a magician should never reveal his secrets, a magician should never perform the same effect twice for the same audience, and a magician should never tell the audience what sort of effect he's performing before the show begins.

[. . . it counts. RIGHT?]

The preliminary visual indication of the influence of darkness on an unaware living heart is an aura that surrounds the entire body.

[ imperious sounding, this is very rote knowledge heard a million times, basic basic theory why should I have to waste my breath repeating it, and shooting frequent impatient glances down at his hand on the shrine, waiting for Albinia to show up ]

There are seven basic characteristics of life, used as a general classification to differentiate living organisms from non-living organisms.

Trigger is looking for supplies for organizing a system of search parties to help with missing people. She'll be looking for at the very least a few clip boards, sheets of graph/lines paper and pens.

She has been spending a LOT of time out in nature, so could gather a number of small/easy level hearts to offer. Also, dedicating the organization to Albina is something she'd be happy to do if it was suggested. I'd also love to play out the thread of them meeting, I just wanted to get this OOC one up so that I can make the resulting orginization post sooner rather than later.
